From my archives, the Night Hawk picture is the result of more than two years in attempting to get a good portrait of a Mississippi Hawk. Problem being, I kept stopping the vehicle on the roadway at which time the Hawk would fly away. Returning to home and looking down the long backyard in a tree I saw a hawk. Grabbing camera and rolls of film I started walking toward the tree taking shots as often as the hawk turned just right. My dog Tiny walking beside me. I was amazed as I found I was at the base of the big tree with Tiny running around, yet the hawk did not fly. Having gotten my shot, and wondering why the Hawk did not fly, it occurred to me that this was a bird that had was a baby that had nested on our back porch. The baby hawk had matured, gone away and returned to his territory, knew me and Tiny and did not fly. This creation is from one of the photos.
