This photo was taken on a small night shooting with my colleagues - we wanted to experiment with lightning and it's reflections from mirrors.Time
Night - we've started at 10 pm, and finished near 5 am that night...this one was like 3 am, so we were a bit tired already)Lighting
The main idea was to try working with simple lights like a pocket flash, with use of mirrors and reflectors. It was not simple, but the result was not so bad as we fearedEquipment
This was shot on Nikon D90, with wide lens, think it was 10-24 mm, mainly working on 17-18mmInspiration
I was under impression from one more look at Van Helsing movie. The vampire girls there were a bit creepy, but still with a female charm. So I wanted to make a bit of dark themeEditing
Sure, I use Lightroom to fix shadows as usual. A bit of work with color grading, to clean additional shades of light. This one doesn't have heavy post-process.In my camera bag
A bare minumum, Nikon D90, 50 and 35mm lens (compact and usefull), and the tripod sometimes. All other only on thematic shoots.Feedback
I always think that the first impression of model can define the shooting process. This one was intended as a bit of glamour with blonde hair and pink lights. But, as I look at our models long hair and face features I really wanted to make something different. So we've tried three styles and only this one was closer to the image in mind. So, i guess just try to imagine the image in mind, and try different approaches to make it true
