A stillness, a mirror image, in sunlights reflective glare. A moment in time captured, a sight stunning and rare.... Lovely!

I like very much how the ripples in the water mimic and balance the clouds in the sky

Location
This shot was taken, on the shores Llyn Pardarn, Llanberis, North Wales, in the UK. It a very popular tree for photographers, and of the most photographed in the UK. So its nice to find no one else there, as i did this day.Time
This was taken at about 7.30 - 8.00 in the morning, as we were in Llanberis to catch the early train up Mount Snowdon this day. So decided to nip round to the lake first as we were early.Lighting
Its a great time to shot here as the sun comes up between the mountains in back ground. No flash used, just the natural light.Equipment
I used a Cannon 70D and Cannon EFS 18 - 55MM LENS, On a tripodInspiration
I have seen loads of great photos of this tree myself, so just had to find it and get my own shots of it It is one of the most photographed trees in the UK and the most photographed in Wales. And is a stunning location too, which helps.Editing
No post - processing really, just slight adjustment in contrast and sharpness,In my camera bag
In my camera bag i carry my cannon EOS D70 Camera, Cannon EFS 18 - 55MM LENS, Cannon EFS 55 - 250 LENS. And my new edition to my bag, my Sigma 105mm 1:2:8 Macro lens for my shots of flowers and close up shots. A small clamp on tripod and a small camera bean bagFeedback
Look for where the sun sets and rises, to get the light right, and check other peoples photos from the same location, for ideas for best spots to take your shot, And if its anywhere like here, that can get busy, try and choose a quite day ~(ie mid week in school term) This is something i have trouble with, as we can only get away in school holidays as my wife works in a school.
