Location

This image was taken at Pleasant Creek State Recreation Center in Palo, Iowa.

Time

I normally try to get my picture taking time in during the golden hour before sunset.

Lighting

The golden hour is the best time for me to take my pictures. I like the softness and tones of the natural filtered light

Equipment

I was using a Kodak Easyshare Z1012 Digital IS camera.

Inspiration

I love to go into the forest and soak up the light and colors of fall. This time of day is perfect for the light to work it's way through all of the trees, which gives it an awe-inspired feeling.

Editing

Yes I used a program called Fotosketcher to give it a painted look.

In my camera bag

Right now just my camera and some water.

Feedback

I always go out at least an or sometimes rwo before the golden hour starts so I can get a feel for the best light and places to shoot. That way it gives me that extra time to really enjoy my surroundings.
