The trains in Myanmar are rattling boneshakers, trundling slowly through the country. This photo is as we crossed the Gok Teik Viaduct, at Nawnghkio. It was built by the British in 1901, when it was the largest railway trestle bridge in the world. It is 2260 feet long, and at 325 feet high is still the tallest bridge in Myanmar.
