This photo was taken in the Kgalagadi National Park This lion walked past the car and then started to run the next thing a small springbok, came out of the long grass and he went for it . After running 100+ meters he caught it just behind a bush . This was the last photo I got before the endTime
Time of day was mid morning around 10h00 the heat was heavy and light hashLighting
Very hash light and very hotEquipment
Canon 1d mk4 with a 500 f4 lens camera hand held through the window of my Fortuner. no flash and a heavy cropInspiration
When in a park one is always inspired to take good photos and a lion always makes a good oneEditing
The photo has a large crop as it was taken about 100 meters plus. Had to get rid of some Noise and had to sharpen itIn my camera bag
When and game drives I use 3 cameras 1. Canon 1d mk4 with 500 f4 lens 2. Canon 7d mk2 with 300 f2.8 lens 3. Canon 7d mk1 with 70/200 mk2 lensFeedback
The more photos youn take the better you will get. Always try to get a good back ground the cleaner the better. I love to use a low f/stop max F4 and ISO 400
