This photo was taken in 2016 on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia. It is the eruption of Klyuchevskaya volcano. This is the highest active volcano in Eurasia.Time
We arrived at the foot of the volcano late at night. I photographed for three hours, until the sky over the volcano was clouded. This photo was taken at about 2 amLighting
No. To shoot this photo, I did not use any artificial lighting - flashes. Sharpness led to the top of the volcano and lava.Equipment
Canon 5D mark III, Canon 28-300 3.5-5.6 L, tripod - since I forgot my head from the tripod at home and found it already on the spot, I used my backpack and tape recorder as a camera stand. It was terribly inconvenient, but there was no choice.Inspiration
In Russia, photographers who have ever removed volcanic eruptions, the master is the famous photographer Vadim Gippenreiter. It was his work that inspired and inspired me now.Editing
I made the color correction in Adobe LightroomIn my camera bag
Now I have a new camera in my backpack - Canon 1Dx. Also I added a line of lenses, replacing some of the old ones with more luminous ones - Canon 16-35 2.8L, Canon 24-70 2.8L, Canon 100 2.8 L macro. But my favorite lens - Canon 28-300 3.5-5.6 LFeedback
Come to Kamchatka in Russia. This is an amazing place of volcanic activity in the world. But here not only volcanoes, there are many brown bears in the wild and other animals. In general, I envy photographers who have the opportunity to shoot now what is happening in Hawaii.
