the Algonquin Radio Observatory is 46m radio telescope in a remote section of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario Canada. While visiting the site this spring for some night shooting we got very lucky and were treated to the single best aurora display I have ever seen. the sky danced for hours till the sun came up and the light towered well overhead in pillars and spices of varying colors from purple to green to red and blue. I have never seen anything like it but hoe I get the opportunity to see a solar storm like this one again.

Gorgeous image, thanks for entering it in to my Human + Cosmos challenge.
Must have been fantastic to have been at a radio telescope when this was happening. I've witnessed a Cat 7 down here in NZ over water & by a boat shed.
Love that you have a person (you?) in there as well, perfect for the challenge.
