Behind The Lens

Location

On my bedroom floor

Time

It was about 430 in the afternoon.

Lighting

Sometimes it's more about taking the chance that the lighting might be off. It qas simply the sun showing straight through the blinds.

Equipment

A broken Nikon D40 eith a standard 55mm lense

Inspiration

My husband came home from work and laid on our bedroom floor right as the sun shown directly theough it. I took various photos of his hands, but when he went the shower I put my feet in it held the camera awkwardly above my feet and grabbed 20 or so photos.

Editing

I didn't know why I took the photo until I got it on my laptop and was able to see it (broken Nikon) up on the screen that I noticed the feeling of it. That feeling of aloneness I feel constantly. I darkened the shadows and bumped some highlights and in the end it spoke.

In my camera bag

NIKON D40 a 55mm lense and a 200 mm lense. And my battery charger.

Feedback

Feel it. Turn off the screen on your camera and take away the instant gratification of a "good shot". Feel it. Let your photography tell people who you are.
