Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my most prefered studio in Barcelona (Kube Studio)

Time

I think in the Morning. In the Studio is not important what time of day :-)

Lighting

I use a standard light setup 2 flashes 45 degrees, grey background.

Equipment

Camera: Canon EOS-1D X Aperture: f/3.5 ISO: 125 Shutter Speed: 1/125 Focal Length: 100/1 I used the Canon EF macro - 100 mm - F/2.8 - Canon EF in this case. But normally my prefered the Canon 85mm EF 1.2 for Portraits (Its an awesome lens) (For Nikon users there exist an equivalent lens)

Inspiration

I was inspired by my prefered Makeupartist Francis Bodí who makes this wonderful Makeup

Editing

I did some post-processings here. Evertytime I do first some editings in Camera RAW. That´s everytime my first step. Than I open it in Photoshop as an object. I duplicate the object layer as an object and do some editings on the details in Camera Raw in different layers. The powder is a brush set for photoshop. I edit the picture in different colors wich you can see here: http://carlos-santero.com/essays/2015/05/shades-ofcolors/

In my camera bag

Canon 1-DX and Canon 5D MKIII as reserve. Tripods 2 or 3 and a special gimbal for Panos. Enough memory cards. And some lenses: Canon EF 50mm 1,4 USM Sigma 20 mm F1,8 EX Canon EF 100-400mm L IS USM 15mm F2,8 EX DG Diagonal-Fisheye Tamron A007E SP 24-70 mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Canon 100 / 2,8L Macro IS USM Sigma 120-300 mm f2,8 Tamron SP AF 70-200 mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Canon 85mm 1,2 II L USM If I worked with flashes in the Studio or outside I do this with Priolite HotSync
