Location

The session was from 9 a.m to 10:30. I used a reflector for a small sun spot that was in her face.Lighting
Side lighting helped. Being outdoors I love playing with natural light. It can be your friend. I use to be afraid of it. But not anymore.Equipment
Canon 60D with 70-200 2.8 Tamaron, speedlite 430Inspiration
This senior loves vitage cars. And part way through the shoot I noticed she pulled off serious beautifully. I also want to incorporate a laidback aspect. Thus the posing.Editing
I beleive this took very minor adjustments. A bit of exposure, tempeture, noise reduction and lens correction to level. I do my best to get it right in camera. In my camera bag
Canon 50mm 1.4 Tameron 70-200 2.8 Canon 60D Extra camera batteries, flash batteries, flash 430 canon, cleaning kit, tulips and extra 32g sd cards.Feedback
My advice would be to consult with the client ahead of time. Making them feel comfortable is very important. And inform them of ideas you have but, you are also willing to work with theirs. An informed client is willing to do the unexpected when asked. Theyhave reached a level of trust with you. Be comfortable with your equipment. Be confident with on the fly ideas and your ability. Have fun. Your mood is reflected onto the client.
