Behind The Lens

Location

This photo had been taken at Nubra valley at Ladakh in India.

Time

This shot was taken at after noon nearly 1:30 pm.

Lighting

The light was coming from the behind and lighten the edges particularly the camel. The owner of the camel was walking pass and looking at the mountain range.

Equipment

This shot was taking by Nikon D7000 using 18-55 mm lens and a CPL filter.

Inspiration

I was looking at mountain, it speaks about itself. it was so beautiful, I just forget about everything. Suddenly I was found this man quit similar to my thought who was similar to my mental state. He was just overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountain.

Editing

No nothing special. Just edit the .NEF file using camera raw. Slight adjustment of shadow and highlight, bit of contrast. Convert the black and white using gradient map in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I have only kit lens. Currently I am using Nikon D810 with kit lens 24-120 mm f/4.

Feedback

In point view it will be better if you going there early. You can see the change light and shadow of the mountain and it is very majestic as well as dramatic too. You may find some activities.
