Location
I was travelling with some friends in San Francisco. We caught an Uber to go see the Golden Gate Bridge one morning. We were talking with the driver and he offered to take us to a spot that was common knowledge to locals where we would get a great view and was never overcrowded. So off we wentTime
It was a mid morning shot and the weather was constantly changing so the cloud cover was a welcome addition to get some great images. There were another group of people there. But other than that we pretty much had the spot to ourselves so it was good for a little exploring after taking a heap of shots of this world famous bridgeLighting
So because the weather was constantly changing the lighting was great for the particular image I was wanting to capture. Showers would roll in constantly but there were breaks where the light would provide a great backdrop and lighting source for the bridge. Such a photographed bridge and I was glad to get a unique spin with my capture.Equipment
Tripod, Olympus omd e-M1, Olympus 12-40mm pro lens, polarising filterInspiration
Being in San Francisco, it’s just one of the many things to shoot in such a beautiful city. Iconic around the worldEditing
I did some editing in Lightroom to change the mood of the photo, I wanted to capture the feeling of the weather in the editIn my camera bag

Ask locals if you are a traveler on where the best spots are to get great images of local sites. Explore the city or place you are in. Always have your camera on you, regardless if it is a pro cam or just your phone. You’ll never know what you will come across in your adventures
