A different perspective on a wedding photography. 50s inspired wedding of a German couple in Sydney.
It has been raining all morning and sun came out just before the ceremony at Bradleys Head. The lighting and setting were magnificent for this spontaneous capture.

Natural light I believe is always the best and if used properly can create the most beautiful lit on the subject giving photo life and emotion. In this case sun rays popping through the clouds have created a great mood for the wedding of this couple and reflections of the morning rain gave my creativity a little bit more room for explorationEquipment
Canon 5D Mark iii and Canon 70-200mm lensInspiration
I like taking photos in the natural light. It has been heavily raining all morning, rain stopped just before the wedding and sun was popping through the clouds reflection and noticed that brides dress had a very nice shape and light through while she was walking towards the groom and decided to take advantage of this combination creating very nice reflections and light effects. I decided to use body of water for couple reflectionEditing
Photo have been taken in Raw format. I have applied black and white filter to it, minor dodge and burn and some sharpening of the couple and pavement texture. In my camera bag
I have two cameras, I use 5D Mark iii, landscape lens 16-35mm Canon, 70-200mm Canon. I also have Sigma Art 50mm and Zeiss 100mm that I use for low light and close up photography. I use tripod where I can especially when it comes to landscape photography. Essential in my kit are Lee filters and filter system, circular polariser and ND filters to control light, cable shutter release and couple of flashes.Feedback
As a photographer I mainly do wedding and landscape photography. For wedding photography I am always after a candid shot, real emotion. It gives life to the picture, drives you in, makes you stop and look at the photo, remember the details of the day, etc. Don't be afraid to think outside of the box, let your creativity flow and translate your unique vision, angle, etc. as a photographer often you can see what others can't. For landscape photography - experiment, with locations, settings, lighting, filters - the results might be pleasantly surprising
