Location
This photo was taken in Göreme a town in Cappadocia, a historical region of Turkey.Time
We had arrived in Göreme the day before, I book the balloon flight for the following morning, I had seen some pictures but I had not an idea how surreal Ti would be the driver picked us up around 4am and we had had to place where I had the most sensational experience dozen of very colorful balloons started to appear on the sky blending with the fabulous landscape, I managed to take some pictures and also enjoy the most of this incredible experience .Lighting
This image was taken very early in the morning , with incredible light, the sun raising behind the mountain and increadilble colours.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D800 with an 45mm 2.8 tilt and shift.Inspiration
A place like Göreme is very inspirational with a lot of balloons is the perfect place for photographers.Editing
The image was edited in Lightroom to bring up colour and contrast then photoshop for the sky.In my camera bag
My bag is a lot lighter now I use Nikon D800 , 50mm 1.4, 45mm 2.8T&S, 18-35mm 3.5-4.5.Feedback
Try not to get too excited(impossible for the first 10min)!!! you’ll not have control of your position unless you can afford one balloon just for you, pay attention to where the balloon is going think the composition and wait for the best moment, try to balance the landscape with the balloons, but the most important enjoy the ride!!
