Location
This photo was taken during a studio photoshoot in Athens , Greece , and its a 3 light setup , with 2 long strip boxes on the side and one light on top of the model The model's name is Eos Adonopoulou and she is a dancer and choreographer from Athens , Greece.Time
the shot was taken in the afternoon , but considering the fact that the light that you see on the dancer comes only from the studio strobes , the natural light has no role on this image . :-)Lighting
The lighting is a classic 3 way lighting produced by 3 Nissin Flashes , 2 of them having a long strip as diffuser, and one being mounted on a very high stand above the model's head.Equipment
This shot was done with a Canon 5ds , a manfrotto tripod , a Cannon 24-70 lens , and was post processed with photosop CC.Inspiration
I was inspired by the optical illusions of M.C. Escher, and that is the reason for using this "illusionary" frame that "changes " perspective if you look closely.Editing
The post processing , besides the addition of the frame , was very minimal .. Just added contrast in Adobe Camera raw and amplified the highlights on the model with a bit of dodge and burn . I also added an artificial shadow below the model's elbow that is out of the frame to amplify the illusion of her being "Outside the frame"In my camera bag
I have my Canon 5ds , and a few canon lenses . Alos i carry with my some cleaning equipment and some WIFI cards so that i can project the images i take on my iphone :-)Feedback
I think if you study the works of M.C. Escher, the experience will definitely make you see our world in a different perspective :-)
