Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on Jokursarlon glacier, Iceland.

Time

It was summer, middle of the june about 01:00am - almost night, but its white night there in june:)

Lighting

I was waiting for the so-called in Iceland "blood red sky" - when the sun lights up the clouds from below. But, suddenly, the sun gave us so unusual beam of light.

Equipment

i used Phase One 645df camera and Phase One IQ180 digital back, with Mamiya FishEye 24mm lens.

Inspiration

This is one of the most inspired place in the world. I think its the most famous landscape in Iceland. The giant ice limp are floating and everyday this ladnscape changes. I try to visit this place each time i'm in Iceland, because each time i get absolutely different pictures from there.

Editing

I believe any landscape picture must be post-processed. I used Capture One software and Photoshop, ofcourse.

In my camera bag

In my bag i have one camera Phase One 645df with digital back iq180, three lenses 24mm, 45mm, 80mm for MF, tripod Gitzo with Manfrotto head. Thats all i need.

Feedback

There a lot of guided tours to this place, but all of them are in daytime. If you need really good shot from Jokursarlon you need to visit it by night.
