Location
I took this photo in a field at the edge of the Saltfleetby/Theddlethorpe nature reserve on the Lincolnshire coast last summer and was fortunate with the stormy sky.Time
I took this in the morning about 9.30 after spotting the field when heading to the beach on a morning dog walk.By the time I returned the weather was changing and getting stormy.Lighting
The stormy morning made a dramatic background to the poppies but i had to work fast before the rain came.Equipment
I used my Nikon 5200 with kit lens and shot by hand as the weather was coming in fast.Inspiration
Originally,it was the sight of so many poppies growing wild but the approaching storm added a whole new dimension.Editing
I just did basic processing in Lightroom to heighten the dramatic sky and flowers. In my camera bag
My Nikon D5200 goes everywhere with me and never lets me down.I've since got a D7000 as well but the D5200 has survived all weathers especially on the coast where I live and is so easy to use.Feedback
You don't need to spend a fortune on kit to take good photos, just keep your eyes open and keep a camera with you.
