Location
This photo was taken on a quiet beach in North Goa, India.Time
It was late afternoon and the sky was an unusually dark grey.Lighting
I did not use any lighting techniques, as I wanted to capture the shot in its natural form.Equipment
At that particular time I used a Samsung 5x digital camera.Inspiration
Myself and my husband had moved the sunbeds to the positions they are in the photo, to try and shield ourselves from the fine sand blowing up from the beach. In the end nature won and we retreated to the beach shack for a drink before leaving. I had a clear view of the sunbeds from where I was sitting, and my attention was drawn to the now rough sea and the way the wind was playing with the matresses on the sunbeds. The grey scene before me gave me a feeling of nostalgia as it was our last day in Goa and the season was coming to an end.Editing
I did not do any post-processing.In my camera bag
I now have a Canon 700D with a 18-55mm and a DG Macro 70-300mm lens.Feedback
I am self taught and still have a lot to learn. This was a totally spontaneous shot. I think the light and my mood attracted me to taking it. I also think sometimes you should just shoot what you feel. And see what turns out.
