Location
This photo was taken in Plainwell, Michigan at my grandmother's house.Time
I remember this morning like it was this morning. I was at my grandmother's house and at that time, I rarely got up early. This particular morning, I woke up and looked at the clock and it was 6:00 a.m. roughly. I looked out the window and saw some mist still in the garden outside. I couldn't resist the adventure of seeing more of the morning and when there's a chance for a good picture, I take it. This photo was taken at 7:13 a.m. on the dirt road next to my grandma's house.Lighting
The lighting I remember, was something I had never actually seen in person before. The rays of light that were coming through the trees acted as if they were tangible. I stuck my hand out and felt as if I was touching the rays of sun that morning. The lighting, I feel, was the best I have ever seen.Equipment
I used an iPad mini 2 for this photo.Inspiration
The only thing I can say about my inspiration is that I truly just wanted to take photos that morning and thought the composition of the road and light mixed well. There's no way I can explain my inspiration besides wanting to capture God's beautiful creation in a photo.Editing
I like to process almost every photo I take and tweak the lighting and shadows a bit to make it my own. I used a transferring filter on this photo to help the colors mix better and process well with the human eye as a gentle, peaceful picture. In my camera bag
I normally have my iPhone.Feedback
My advice to anyone who is seeking better photos. Focus your efforts on something that you love and something that intrigues you. Go against the flow of the normal intake and push against it by seeking new areas to capture. Good luck.
