Not your usual "butterfly on flower" shot...great pov...the composition is unique, I never thought of a photo showing the butterfly from the other angle...good colors too...beautifully done!

Hi, Twila, beautiful perspective. I may have taken a class with you or something at some time on here or another site... unless their are a number of Twila's? Any how nice job.

Fantastic capture! Such an unusual POV. It seems like a photo taken by a Lilliputian. Congratulations on being a finalist!

This photo was taken out in my yard, in Anchorage, Alaska.Time
Early afternoon.Lighting
I used natural lighting.Equipment
Canon EOS digital camera, with no tripod.Inspiration
I wanted a different perspective of a butterfly on a flower, instead of common, ordinary shots of them on top of plants. This was an injured butterfly that couldn't fly, so I had my son put it on a dandelion, then hold it up so I could take a different perspective shot. Now you know how this was done!!Editing
Actually, NO!In my camera bag
Just 2 other lenses....Canon 75-300 lens, and a Canon 100mm macro, which I didn't have at the time.Feedback
When looking through the viewfinder, move in different positions to get a different angle! Think outside the box!!
