Behind The Lens

Location

This was a photograph I took at the Botanical Garden in Bogota, in Colombia, one of my favorite places for photos Hummingbird. If you see the original photo is also in my gallery. http://www.viewbug.com/photo/4757062

Time

The botanical garden of Bogota is a fantastic place to do nature photography, but it is also a nice place for many more activities, I always go with my wife and we have dinner and spend all day waiting for birds. In this case the photo was taken at one of my regular visits to Jardí on October 4, 2014 at 11:44 a.m.

Lighting

In this particular case the original picture was taken with natural light, I did not use flash or anything else.

Equipment

Particularly is realized photography was my nikon d7100 and lens 70 300 mm. This lens being FF in this camera gives me more scope or is the lens gives a length of 150 to 450mm for the crop factor of the sensor. any other element.

Inspiration

As you will see in my gallery, I am fond of taking pictures of hummingbirds, I think they are beautiful. This was a day that I spent only expect the best times to photograph one. Besides editing I did was a search that image that I could edit a way to generate a completely different digital work.

Editing

Sure. The whole work is a work that could be called digital. I opted to take my photo gallery and the origital is fully published work for people who see my work could realize what he wanted with this Imegen. After all the process creacción of the original image, with levels adjustments, saturation etc, are made using the PS image, editing in multiple overlapping layers and textures to create the background. hummingbird wings to give the double senzación motion and finally everything went white and black.

In my camera bag

My ideal team is always carry all the equipment, you never know what could happen. I use to go out to take pictures of nature a waterproof backpack CaseLogic within it carry my camera nikon d800 and d7100. I've also F2.8D 20mm lenses, 35mm f2 d, f1.8G 50mm, 60mm f2.8 macro, Tamron 24-70 f2.8 and Tamron 70 mm f2.8 200mm. Plus my Lensbaby spark and my tripod brand Vista. Ahhh and I will always dress acuerso to where I will not forget to photograph items for protection from sun and rain. In this case also carrying my 70 300mm. Something I forgot: remote releases and straps. plus three flashes

Feedback

My tips for nature photography and macrofotgrafía are: Always ready for anything you see, it takes several batteries, comfortable clothing and equipment clean and ready. Always begins the journey very early in the morning is the best light. Have patience. Do not be discouraged if the weather changes, you have a lot of patience. You have to be very observant. If you could not make the decision that you wanted that day, then keep everything ready to go another day. And for editing, study hard PS, especially the layer blending modes
