Location
Taken at Tuolumne Meadows-Yosemite National ParkTime
Photo was taken approximately 7:30 pmLighting
The sky was clear and there wasn't any wind so I knew there would be a good reflection of the mountains in the calm water also that the sun light would cast a golden color on the already brown grasses.I sat and waited for about an hr for the scene to take shape.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D, Sigma 24-70mm lens, Induro Tripod and cable releaseInspiration
This was my first trip to Tuolumne Meadows and had been hiking around getting familiar with the area and decided to take a rest by sitting on the rocks along the river edge. After sitting for some time I thought this scene would make a great photo if all the conditions came together, which they did.Editing
Started processing in Lightroom and finished a little more detail work in Photoshop. Nothing major though just brought the colors that I saw when photo was taken. In my camera bag
A second camera body and at least three other lens and some filtersFeedback
Be patient you never know what conditions may appear.
