I took this photo at th Metrozoo Miami. I used the photoshop to edit and remove the background, it was a faraway shot and he is fairly shy getting a good shot wasnt easy, it seems he knows me and comes out always looks at me directly. I call him Bengali. My grandfather worked at this zoo all his life as head plumber. So maybe there is a kinship with this tiger.I always felt bad they had him alone, there was a mankiller who once killed the keeper not sure if it was him, still not his fault so why keep him alone. I used my Sony Cybershot for this image.Time
It was probably around high noon cant recall and it was my first series of big cat shots.Lighting
The lighting was a natural lighting I use a lens cover to block light from other angles.Equipment
Sony CybershotInspiration
Big cats are always an inspiration but this one is special, since I was a kid I did pencil illustrations from my fathers shots. Every year this cat gets more magestic he is probably the best Ive seen. So , yes the inspiration comes from this particular animal he has a power about him, also a sadness I feel he should be free.Editing
Yes I used the photoshop for the background and a little edit as it was a distance shot.In my camera bag
I carry a Sony Cybershot and a smaller fuji in my bag , with some batteries lens filters not much.Feedback
My advice use all your knowledge but more importantly pursue that which comes from within. Follow your instincts :)
