Location
I took this just up the hill from Langwieden Germany. I used to live about 900m from this spot.Time
This was afternoon right at sunset.Lighting
The Sun was just about to go down and just used nature's lighting.Equipment
Nikon D5100 with Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens on a Manfrotto tripod using remote shutter.Inspiration
I was up the hill taking photos when the fog rolled in. After taking shots, I decided to go home but then drove up on this spot and decided to take some more shots. I love photos in the fog, as I think fog ads mystery to an image.Editing
I did the normal adjustments in Adobe Lightroom along with cleaning up the image. There was a piece of trash on the ground and wire which drew the eye. I removed those. In my camera bag
The D5100 later crashed, litteraly off a ledge which got replaced with a D5200. I have recently upgraded to full frame and gone mirorless with Nikon Z6. If I'm shooting my kids, then I will have a 50mm f1.8, if astro shots then Rokinon 14mm f2.8. I like the 24-70mm S for flexability. I also have 70-300mm & 35mm f1.8 dx.Feedback
Get out as you never know what will happen. If in the end you didn't get much, you got to spend time with nature. What I love about landscape photography is getting out and breathing fresh air, hearing the wind & birds and just relaxing.
