Location
This photo was taken in my livingroom.Time
I took this picture late at night while bored and sleepy.Lighting
I used the LED on my phone to light up my face for this selfie.Equipment
I used my Canon 60d with my Sigma 10-20mm attached. My phone's light was used for lighting and I placed my camera on my computer desk for stability with the timer on to take and HDR trio of shots.Inspiration
This was the product of boredom and curiosity. I was playing around with my camera's HDR feature and this was a result.Editing
I used photoshop to adjust my levels and merge the 3 shots into one HDR photo. I then decided I wasn't a fan of the HDR so I changed it to a black and white and this is the resulting photo. In my camera bag
I generally carry my Tamron 24-70 F2.8, my canon and tamron macros and my two flash units.Feedback
This picture is an HDR. That means you need to hold completely still for 3 shots. I used a timer on my camera and an outside light source from my phone for a constant, dim light. Once you have your three shots (one under-exposed, one exposed correctly, and one over-exposed) you need a program to merge all their data into one HDR photo. I used photoshop's HRD editing tool for this but there are many others. Adjust your settings to something you like and you are all set.
