Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a small studio in France during one of the rehearsals for an adaptation of Peter Pan.

Time

It was 7 in the morning and we were all very tired because we had been rehearsing the night before until very late. This look is precisely that of a child who lives inside an actor

Lighting

I always work with natural light, the first rays of light came through the window and I took advantage of them

Equipment

Only my camera.

Inspiration

Peter Pan and his innocence, what he represents for children and adults, the child who never wanted to grow up, this actor was 22 years old when I took the photo but his gaze looks like that of an eight year old and that fascinates me.

Editing

work white balance and little else

In my camera bag

I work with an old sony nex-5 and sometimes I use a tripod, but rarely, I really like the camera in hand

Feedback

If you are a photographer of people, I would say that aesthetics is important, but sometimes it overshadows the naturalness of the model and you should not lose their gestures or their gaze. first you have to find this and then aesthetics is the last thing.
