Location
This photo was taken at Allsopp Park in Midtown Little Rock Arkansas. This is a very busy park so timing had to be just right in order to get this shot.Time
This shoot was actually the 2nd time we tried to do this shoot. We had a fairy theme we wanted to try and accomplish and if you notice zoomed into the photo we have gold leaf on the models face. We had to keep pushing the shoot back in the day because of shipping delays and ended up taking this shot around 6:30 PM right as the sun was going down.Lighting
Lighting is kinda my thing. I love lighting for the outdoors and making every pixel have color. I am using 2 outdoor flashes . There is one Neewer 300 Watt flash with honeycomb diffusion to the right for the fill light as I am exposing for the sunset. Then there is a 83cm octagonal diffuser on a neewer 300 watt flash behind the model for a bit of rim light.Equipment
I love Sony cameras. This is shot on a Sony a7iii with a 35mm Sigma 1.2 lens. On the front of the lens is a B+W Polarizer. I am currently using 2 Neewer 300 Watt Flashes with Godox wireless flash trigger.Inspiration
With every model I try to make it a collaboration. This was first going to be a fairy photoshoot. the first time we tried to do this shoot we ended up not being able to make it work because of shipping delays and then the model ask "Do you have a sword"? I Imeediately went to a few local pawn shops to go and find a sword and after checking out 3 different shops I finally found one. This sword was 4 foot tall and looked straight out of the Witcher. After I purchased the sword we got notice that the last part of the outfit has been delayed by a couple of days so we waited another week and that day ended up being perfect.Editing
There is a lot of post processing on this photo. I first take the photo into camera raw to do a little bit of re exposure. Mostly bringing down the highlights so I can saturate the sky. I then take it into photoshop to do skin retouching and relighting. In my camera bag
In my camera bag you will find a Sony a7iii, 35mm sigma 1.2, and a sony 85mm 1.4. Other than that there will be camera filters, wireless triggers, an Ipad pro, and a water bottle.Feedback
Collaboration is key when working with anyone. I am very fortunate to have such amazing people to work with who trust me to make a vision come to reality. Wether it is a models idea or mine we work together to make a vision happen.
