This was taken on Kaskaskia Island, Illinois. Kaskaskia Island was separated from the mainland of Illinois during a major flood of the Mississippi River in 1881.Time
This was probably taken around 2pmLighting
Not really, it was middle of a bright sunny day, didn't have to worry about the light.Equipment
This was shot from a car, using a Canon EOS Rebel SL1, 75-300mm lensInspiration
I like taking photos of old things. I thought it would be a good shot. You don't see many cabooses anymore.Editing
Not much, just touching up HDR and saturation. In my camera bag
My Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with lenses 75-300mm & 35-55mm. Also an old Pentax x90 which my dad gave me years ago. It still takes awesome photos. I also always have my Galaxy A20SE phone which has an amazing camera on it.Feedback
Just do it. Don't hesitate. If you think it may be a good or interesting shot, take it. Since everything is digital, it is a lot easier to get rid of photos you don't like, instead of thinking "wish I would have taken that shot".
