Afternoon photo shoot, with my gorgeous goddaughter, for her 6 month photos.Lighting
The lighting is the best part, I used a small 10” ring light on a tripod that shrunk to her sitting level. I used my attached camera flash for a fill and we sat her on a white backdrop.Equipment
Canon 60DInspiration
Her!Editing
I had to crop out moms arm, as she was holding her from behind so she wouldn’t roll over.In my camera bag
Canon body 60 Usually a telephoto lens and some hot glass; something with low aperture for portraits. 2 external Flashes Small soft box to cover Flash for daytime shoots.Feedback
Babies are the most difficult to photograph, take your time, make sure baby is comfortable and in a good mood and make sure baby is safely positioned for each shot. Fun noises or a favourite song usually get that little smile and focused attention. I don’t used stuffed animals as toddlers usually want them and they always end up in the photo!
