Location
This photo was taken at Lake Koyashskoe in the Crimea. This is a salt lake with a special plankton that is painted pink at the end of the summer.Time
Frame taken in the morning. The lake is far from the settlements and we took a bus with tourists. The bus got a little late and we got here later than we wanted, but the sun wasn’t too high and the light was beautiful.Lighting
No additional lighting except sunlightEquipment
Usually I shoot on camera Sony A7III, but it was on a trip, so I only took the Sony a6300 with the standard lens 16-50 3.5-5.6. This is a compact camera, which is enough for me to make a nice shot.Inspiration
I’ve always wanted to visit the salt flats of Uyuni, Bolivia. But as it turns out not so far there is a similar very beautiful place. It’s very unusual to walk in the shallow waters of a salty lake, and it feels like you’re walking on a giant mirror. I was inspired by this place. Also, not long before the trip, I made a dress that fluttered with all the colors of the rainbow. It’s very much like a pearl, so it’s the name of a series of photos with my wife.Editing
I was doing a color correction at Lightroom. The conditions of the shooting were far from ideal, trampled salt on the lake shore, tourists and other elements that spoiled the composition, all of which I removed in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually take pictures at night and in my bag are two cameras, two tripod, lots of light brushes and flashlights. But this time I knew I would only need a Sony a6300 with kit lens.Feedback
Watch a lot of good photography, movies, art. Try to borrow. Copy - learn. Bring your vision. It takes time. Every beautiful photograph has a story of the author, how he studied, where he was inspired, how he was wrong.
