Location
I took this photo in Dali, China next to a river that went through an old fortress.Time
I believe it was around two o'clock, slightly cloudy seemed like it was about to rain but in the end it never did.Lighting
The cloudy weather gave me the perfect natural soft-box for this evenly lit shot.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5500 with its 18-55mm stock lens as well as a screw-on macro filter witch is basically a magnifying glass.Inspiration
I was walking through this old Chinese town filled with beauty and I noticed this lone flower growing by the riverbed that went through the old fortress.Editing
I did a little bit of sharpening and added a little bit of saturation, nothing fancy but it does the trick! In my camera bag
I have the nikon d5500 because of its lightweight versatility and grip, and its usually paired with my nifty-fifty 50mm nikkor 1.8 and in my bag I have the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-85mm.Feedback
I would say go out in some cloudy weather and search for pretty flowers if you want to capture something similar.
