Location
I 've taken this photo in the sole salt-lake of Larnaca, Cyprus due to an ongoing project i introduced to my country a few years ago called Dance in Photos Project and has to do with how do dancers blend in natural or man made beauty around us without the restriction of the traditional stage space.Time
It was around 19:00 just before sunsetLighting
The light used in this still was ambient with the assistanse of 2 speed lights. One on a tripod and umbrella on the right and another based on the lakes floor on her left looking up.Equipment
Nikon D700 Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 Nikon SB800 Godox speedlightInspiration
As it is mentioned earlier the inspiration came from the ongoing dance project. Now the way the locations are selected is based on visiting, evaluating, discussing and assess weather the scenario works or not.Editing
The post-processing that was done on this photo was to remove any garbage from the bottom of the salt lake along with some rocks and salt debree. The skin was smoothen and added contrast and to the clouds. The lakes floor was over exposed by 1 stop and there was some liquify effect applied on her legs to make them look more dynamicIn my camera bag

The only advice i have to give to anyone who is interested in this subject is that you need to have a connection with your subject and your surroundings. I urge you to get involved. For example after i started this project everyone thought that i was a dance teacher or a dancer when in-fact i had never taken a single dance class in my life, but the knowledge that i was subjected to and my interest was enough to make me realize a few things and feel comfortable around them. Alot of people get stuck on the technichal details, I get it. I do not claim that i take great photos but i know for a fact that if you want to be considered great one day it is not by copying others but it is by implementing a personal touch. And this is enough to surpass anyone.
