Behind The Lens

Location

We were staying at a two guest room elaborate Italian mountain top B & B outside Prineville, OR, USA and had the privilege of seeing wonderful mountain top sunsets and sunrises along with wild turkeys, deer and etc.

Time

This was taken at day's end right when the sky was aglow from the setting sun.

Lighting

The sky was a golden soft glow almost matching the sunflowers whick I wanted to capture with only the natural lighting.

Equipment

I used only my trusty old Nikon COOLPIX P100 without any filters or tripod.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the beautiful golden glow of the sky with the sunflowers in the foreground.

Editing

I always attempt to improve my picture by slight adjustments of light and maybe some cropping with my Apple I-MAX iPhoto program.

In my camera bag

I'm a just for fun photographer simple trying to capture the surrounding beauty and go free with no camera bag or other equipment.

Feedback

Simple explore off the beaten paths for the simple natural beauty. I find that most often sunrises are more bursting with rich colos than sunsets. Have fun exploring and looking for things/scenes to capture.
