I almost didn’t even see this photo after I had labeled & sorted my photos from my trip. I am a bit unsure why I labeled this as a “maybe.” I think the angle wasn’t what I wanted on the yak. Looking at it now, I still wish he had turned a bit to give me more of a profile look. At the same time, I wasn’t stupid enough to think I should… influence the yak that wasn’t tied up to give me a better shot. I can just imagine the story now… “Photographer gets trampled by yak…” I guess I can be taught.
I’m also not sure if this photograph would have been seen if I hadn’t been listening to some great photography podcasts before this. I’ve been in a bit of a slump with my creativity. So, I went for inspiration overload by listening to the Picturing Success podcast followed by He Shoots, He Draws and then The Candid Frame podcast. Love all of those podcasts. The Candid Frame podcast had Trey Ratcliff on and I really appreciated how Trey talked about creativity and positive thinking. Thanks for the inspiration. Now to the processing…
