Brittany I love this composition. It tells me you are a deep thinker.

Location
I took this photo in my living room while my kids were running and screaming around me!Time
I took this in the middle of the day. It was my first time trying out self portraits with my camera.Lighting
I was actually sitting on the ground in front of my window where the sunlight comes through beautifully. Although with this particular image I ended up darkening it quite a bit when I went to edit.Equipment
This was shot with my Sony a6000 with a 50mm f/1.8 prime fixed lens and using a tripod.Inspiration
Honestly it was my tattoos. Sadly I only have one arm tattooed so when I take pictures of myself, if an arm is to be included, it is always my right arm which is tattooed. The expression and shadows of the photo I felt matched the asthetic I aim for when showcasing my tattoos.Editing
I use Adobe Lightroom to edit my photos, and if I remember correctly I applied a ViewBug preset and then adjusted the contrast and shadows. In my camera bag
I have my Sony a6000, my 50mm f/1.8 lens which is the only lens I ever find myself using, I absolutely love it, a lens hood, filters, lens cleaning stick, and a lens ball.Feedback
The only advice I have is just to try not to think to hard about what you are doing. Let go, try poses or expressions you might think look stupid or uncomfortable because the majority or self portraits while taking them I thought no way at I going to like this but ended up loving those the most.
