Behind The Lens
Location
I took this picture at the backyard while cleaning. I learnt photography on my own and learning using online tutorials.Time
This shot was absolutely unexpected. As I went to clean my backyard, I saw this Calote, looked absolutely intimidated. I actually don't know what was it looking at. I just screamed, calling my eight-year-old son, "get the cam! get the cam", as didn't want to miss the frame. He brought it, it was handheld, yet got lucky with the shot.Lighting
This Calote was slightly inside the thickets, a bit dark. I was determined not to miss the chance. so I increased the iso to get the adequated light, and this is what I got. I looked at her and said, " Thanks for making my Day"Equipment
I shot this picture on Sony A6000, with Sigma 70-300 Macro Lens.Inspiration
I saw the bright colours right in the middle of green leaves, which really caught my attention. I fell in love with the perfect position and I visualized the frame in my mind. This Calote filled the frame diagonally and gave me imaginations. I felt fulfilled.Editing
It was very colourful itself. As always I was particular that I should not overcorrect the colours. so I just increased shadows and a bit of contrast. I very slightly worked on clarity. In my camera bag
My Bag really heavy. I have Sony a6000, fairly a small camera sizewise, but a powerful mirrorless camera. I have Sigma 70-300 (F4-5.6) Macro Lens which i use on my Sony A6000 using E-mount adapter. I also have my Sony 55-210 and Sony 16MM wide angle lens. As I do a lot of birding I also carry my Tamron 150-600MM. I have Neewer Flash. I carry in the Bag 2 Batteries and charging dock with Sony 10,000 mAh Power Bank. I have two 64 GB memory card with the card reader. On the top of it all I also hook my Targus Monopod. Quite a heavy Camera bag. I just want to make sure i dont regret for not having any of these for the unforeseen need.Feedback
I am a beginner. Its only little over three years since I have started photography, but I am absolutely committed. I carry my cam all the time, even to my workplace. I think photography all the time. I just see framed everywhere. No technic is superior to each other. To me, the ability to visualise the end result is the secret.
