Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a trip to our local seal sanctuary.

Time

midday

Lighting

over case day.

Equipment

The camera I used was my Canon EOS 6D with my Sigma 10-20 lens

Inspiration

There was a big dome window you could sit it, it cut the water in two so you could see them swimming about as well as walking on the bit of land to the side of the window. It was great to see them swimming around, but i wanted to get them jumping in. It took a while for them to do this for me.

Editing

The conditions to take the photo wasn't great, it was a over cast day, the water was slightly murky because of the lack of light, and looking through glass never really helps, but its a good picture. Turning it in to black and white just made it though.

In my camera bag

My Canon EOS 6D normally with my Sigma 10-20 lens on, 18-300, 150-500 lenses are also in my bag, a lot of spare batteries and memory cards (never be caught out). I also carry my tg3 with wide lens on, incase i go near water. Food, drink and money.
