Most famous and.. most photographed. Each photographer brings her own idea about this sculpture and perhaps the story behind it. The way you have shown the mermaid (in English, but I LOVE 'Undina) makes her small and isolated on the edge of a busy modern harbour. One could imagine different lighting, different angle etc. could be used to convey all different ideas about this sculpture, just as the person who made her in bronze had his own ideas and even i suppose the writer of the story had his own ideas to pass on. Now, somewhere there is a Undina ( I saw one in the South Pacific) who simply lives and has no real idea even about herself. I guess what i am saying is that when we photograph something we bring ourselves into the image, our ideas and attitudes and it is useful to become aware of them. I like you images keep going.:):)
