This photo was taken at Cherai Beach, Kerala, India. The beach is just 15 minutes’ drive from my home, and whenever I have time, I go there. It never fails to amaze me. Each day it delivers a new photo, new perspective.Time
This photo was taken at an evening when I visited Cherai Beach, after a rain. I never imagined it will become my most popular image.Lighting
Visiting a beach or something similar would be a great idea, immediately after a rain. The rain would clear the dull grey sky and there are chances some dramatic lighting would appear in the sky, especially in the evenings.Equipment
This photo was shoot with a Canon 500d with a 18-55mm kit lens. This was taken handheld.Inspiration
My home is close to a beach. And also, there are so many water bodies and fishermen are here. I love it and many of my photos reflects their activities. This particular photo, ‘Lonely explorer’ is also a fisherman in his wooden boat fishing in the sea alone. And indeed, these kinds of lighting can be seen only once in a life time.Editing
Almost all my images are edited in Photoshop. At times, I have used other software's as well. Everything I learned is self taught, both Photoshop and Camera. In my camera bag
I have never used an external light to take my photos. All photos are taken in natural light, tweaked in Photoshop. My present gear is Canon 77d, 18-135mm lens.Feedback
The climate in Kerala is so unique. On once side you can see beaches and water bodies, the other side you can see mountains, forests, wild animals, birds, fog and so on. Although it is warm on one side, the other side is so cold. The wide range of diversity is so intriguing. Hence it is one of the ‘must-to-see’ destinations according to Nat Geo. Be prepared for the diversity of landscapes, colors and situations. Have patience and have the eyes and mind to welcome the unexpected…
