I took this shot a couple weeks ago at Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, GA. The color in the sky right at sunrise was incredible! I decided to stop where I was to ensure I captured all the sharp orange and yellow I could. I was using a ND1000 filter for a long exposure effect.

I took this photo at Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, GA.Time
I took this shot at sunrise. This particular morning was extremely golden and bright.Lighting
I was running around like a mad man trying to find a nice composition that I hadn't shot before. During this shot, I was practicing taking long exposures, as it was a new concept to me.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon 6D, 24-105mm EF IS lens, and a ND1000 filter on a tripod.Inspiration
I really wanted to find something different. Because of that, I decided this particular driftwood looked interesting and was worthy of being the focus. Also, I wanted to shoot a long exposure shot. I'm pleased with how it turned out.Editing
I edited this shot in Lightroom. I did a basic edit mostly working with the curves. In my camera bag
Currently, I have a Canon 5D Mark IV and a 24-70 lens 2.8 attached. I also have a 70-200 2.8 with me at all times. I utilize a polarizer filter on each lens, and keep ND1000 for each lens in my bag. Further, I always travel with a tripod, as I feel it is necessary. I have plenty of random other things in my bag, including hand sanitizer, which I believe most will now travel with, lol.Feedback
Be patient. Risk it to get the biscuit. This is nowhere near the prettiest spot on this beach, Take chances. Keep shooting. Challenge yourself and you will take great photos.
