Location
We were on a mini-trip to Norfolk and on our way home we stopped at the Suffolk Bird Sanctuary.Time
It was late afternoon and the sanctuary was just closing when we got there. They let us in free of charge and we ran around quickly, snapping away as we went. I was shooting hand-held.Lighting
I'm not sure if the sun was shining but there was just about enough light to take some photographs of the birds handheld.Equipment
I used a very well-used Fujifilm HS50 EXR which I take everywhere with me because it's light and easy to use. I always carry various filters in my pockets such as a polarising filter, an infra red filter and a petal hood. I have various ND filters, flash, tripod and monopod too.Inspiration
I love shooting birds and nature in general and I am out in my garden often looking for something new to shoot.Editing
I cropped this picture from a slightly larger one.In my camera bag
Because my camera is a bridge camera I don't need to carry around great big, heavy lenses. Just a few filters as mentioned already.Feedback
Always have your camera ready to shoot. I usually shoot in aperture mode but sometimes use shutter speed mode.
