Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Mitchell’s Cove in West Cliff Side of Santa Cruz, California

Time

At nightfall around 10pm

Lighting

It was all natural lighting

Equipment

Canon T6i, with Sigma lens 70-300mm f4-5.6

Inspiration

It was a beautiful clear new night and the moon was in a perfect position.

Editing

I took two pictures, one of the moon and another of the ocean with moonlight reflection. Then, they were combined to produce the single image.

In my camera bag

I have a Sony a7rii and canon T6i with variety of lenses, Sony 28mm f2, 24-240mm f3.5-6.3, and Venus Laowao 15m

Feedback

Be aware of the moon phases and direction of moon rise. Zoom in and divide the photo into 2 sections and take 2 separate shots. You might need to adjust the settings for each picture
