Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in an abandoned mill building in Castletown on the north coast of scotland

Time

It was in the middle of the day, but it was inside, with no lighting.

Lighting

LE shot with very little natural light, no additional light used

Equipment

Canon 5D mark 3, kit 24-105 lens, benbo tripod.

Inspiration

I loved the look and feel of the building, I'd spotted it when driving around the area. While exploring I found this room and staircase.

Editing

It was an HDR shot, converted to mono, and then had various adjustments to levels and contrast.

In my camera bag

5D mark 3, 24-105 lens, 70-300 lens.
