Location
This was taken behind a row of apartments about 5 min from my house in Springfield VirginiaTime
Shot was done very early morning in the fall. I knew there would be very little train traffic due to it being a weekend, so I took advantage of the placement and the weather to capture this.Lighting
All naturalEquipment
Nikon D5100, Nikon 18-55mm lens at 18mm. ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/60 of a second.Inspiration
The curve of the tracks leading you off to the distance is why I went there. The additional fog just made this that much better.Editing
Processed in LR onlyIn my camera bag
I have the same thing in my bag all the time, extra batteries, remote cable release, and filter. I always carry my Circular Polarizer, 10Stop ND Filter and 1,2,3 GND filters.Feedback
This was shot on active train tracks, so being EXTREMELY cautious. I was hyper vigilant and keeping my eyes and ears constantly looking and listening for any trains that might be coming. Even though I knew the schedule, there's always a chance for something else to come rolling threw.
