Location

in my neighborhood ,Fairfax district in the heart of Los Angeles

Time

right before sunset

Lighting

i was waiting for the light to be soft right before sunset to make sure i would be able to capture all the colors on that little bird's feathers

Equipment

that was shot with an Olympus E-5 and a zuiko 70-300mm lens, shot hand held with natural light only

Inspiration

i always walk by this spot almost every day and that little hummingbird is always there at the same time, but usually flying around very, very fast.i took the opportunity to shoot him while he appeared to be resting for a brief moment

Editing

my usual workflow, mostly some adjustments in Adobe Raw,then some brief adjustments in Adobe Photoshop,minor sharpening and that's about it

In my camera bag

these days i use Sony full frames cameras, my workhorse being the a7rll,and my back up camera being the original a7,with various Sony and Zeiss lenses,Manfrotto tripod and really Right Stuff ball head and plates
