Location
This photo was taken at Bryce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona.Time
Time of day for this photo was 9:00 A.M, on a cool crisp December day last year.Lighting
Because this was taken early in the morning, the trees were illuminating with sunlight enhancing the falls foliage.Equipment
Nikon D7100, f.9, 1/125 shutter, ISO 500 @ 25mm. (lens 18-300). No tripod.Inspiration
I love to take long walks early in the morning. On this particular day I came across this beautiful tree with vivid fall colors with the morning light shining through the foliage and I was inspired to capture the amazing color.Editing
Yes...Post processed first in Light Room 4 then Topaz Simplify 4 to give the photo a painting effect. In my camera bag
I pack light the majority of the time, but on this day I carried one camera, Nikon D7100, 18-300 Lens, 50mm prime lens and a speed light SB-600.Feedback
The best advice I can give is plan the timing of each photo. I rarely shoot in the middle of the day, morning dawn and evening dusk best time for light shadows and saturation.
