Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken inside on my kitchen table.

Time

I chose early morning for the time of day to capture the best natural light.

Lighting

I took advantage of the early morning natural light coming in through two large kitchen windows. No flash or other artificial lights were used.

Equipment

Nikon D3000, tripod and 18-300 Nikon lens.

Inspiration

I originally took this photo to enter a contest entitled 'What inspires you' (which won). The bible is the single most important book to me an my family for inspiration, it was only natural for me to include it in the photo.

Editing

This was pretty much right out of camera with a few light adjustments in Adobe Light Room.

In my camera bag

I normally like to travel light so bag will include, Nikon D7100, 18-300 lens, 50 1.4 lens, and a Nikon SB600 flash.

Feedback

Play around with common everyday things you find around your home. Wait for the appropriate time when using natural light. I prefer early morning and late afternoon the best. Thank you Viewbug and to everyone who voted for my photo.
