Location
It was at Panama City Beach, Florida and we had two men there who had military vehicles. It started storming and we were fortunate enough to find a parking garage to do the shoot - otherwise it would have been ruined.Time
This was midday but it was storming so the lighting was a wash - pun intended. We shot in a darker parking garage but everything worked out.Lighting
We were close enough to the edge of the parking garage to be able to use natural lighting and it did eventually stop storming at least. f/5.6 1/125 sec ISO-1250 100 mm no flashEquipment
Nikon D5100Inspiration
We had found a military-inspired Halloween costume and we're official photographers for Delicious Dolls Magazine so we figured we'd do something like this for Memorial Day or Independence Day since the magazine features pinup models. Everything worked out perfectly.Editing
This has post-processing done with Lightroom only. I immediately came home and did this one within a few minutes before our model and her boyfriend came over for dinner. I was so excited to surprise her.In my camera bag
We have three cameras, three camera bags, multiple lenses, and memory cards and yet we still have sometimes forgotten to have a memory card on us. We also have backdrops, a tripod, and props.Feedback
As much as you can try to plan for something like this, nature doesn't always cooperate. Always have a backup plan in place in case there are lighting issues, bad weather, or anything else that can go wrong.
