I like the lighting you managed to achieve even with a hat... well done :)

Location
The photo was taken at my home from the inside of the garage shooting out on a rainy dayTime
Taken in late afternoonLighting
The photo was shot from the inside the garage shooting out towards the yard. It was raining and the sun had just poked through. The subject in the photo was standing just under the eve of the garage, enough not to get wet and yet have the breaking sun hit her. The combination of the shadow from the brim of the hat and the natural light gave the subject a real glow.Equipment
Canon 60D, a Sigma 17-70mm 1:2.8-4 Macro HSMInspiration
The sun coming through the clouding while there was still rain falling gave the entire yard an incredible glow. When outside with the subject to take a photo, but it was still raining so positioned her under the eve to catch the natural light and shadowsEditing
Very little, just applied a sepia filter a little vignette cropping. In my camera bag
This photo was one of the first I shot with my new Canon 60D. currently have: -canon 60D -sigma 17-70mm macro -sigma 10-20 wide angle -canon fixed 50mm -canon 70-300 zoom -sigm300-600 zoom -canon 600EX-RT Flash -Feedback
I love shooting right near, or right at the end of a rainfall when the sun comes through. Even better earlier and latter in the day No flash just natural light and shadows
